Infidelity 101 – Catch a Cheating Spouse Before it is Too Late

Discovering you are living with a cheating spouse affects you for the rest of your life. The person you thought was your life partner that was supposed to love you more than anything in the world, has let you down in the most profound way. Hopefully this does not represent your relationship – yet. Only once you can identify signs of a cheating spouse, can you end the infidelity and possibly save your marriage.

One signal that your spouse is cheating is the lack of intimacy and closeness. It is easy to sense subtle changes in your intimate life. If you notice your spouse spends more time by themselves, doesn’t want to participate in activities with you, and kisses and hugs you less, their thoughts and actions are elsewhere. This distraction could be due to a new flame.

Your spouse may appear secretive, getting to the mail first, hanging up quickly on their phones, or seemingly anxious when you come around the computer. There could be something they do not want you to see or read and you may want to investigate further. All their computer activity can be logged with keylogging software, from emails to web pages they visit. Contacting your bank, phone company or credit card companies might give you more information on recent transactions you did not know about.

Working late at their job might just be that, but it could mean extra-marital activity on the side. If your spouse seems to be spending more and more time at work, or making excuses they have to stay late, could be a red flag. Dropping in with a late night snack or calling them could zip up any cheating they are up to. If they do not know when to expect you to show up or call, they have to be more on guard and eliminates their chances to cheat. Out of town “business trips” might indicate a cheating spouse too. Calling their place of employment will reveal whether they are telling you the truth.
